The Ball
This whole underground "Ball" scene fasinates me...to be quite honest I feel sort of out of place, as I've never heard of them before now...perusing various blogs has peaked my interest into this world...I've never attended one and from what I've read it seems these events go on for six hours or more...where I'm from gay life is underground...and the one club that did events --of course, not on the scale of a Ball Room scene-- has closed...so here I am in this early morn contemplating on my "ifs"... so in order for my "if" to change ... some research has to begin...so I now have find out more about these Balls and attend one....which means reading more blogs or finding one that just centers around them...This caught my interest for I love to produce events...I have produced events for the most part of my adult life here in the islands and in ATL...so now...I've added yet another project to my list...
Someone whom I've known for a spell...asked yesterday...what would it take for me to love again...He continued...why do we look in all the wrong places when love is right here, right now in front of you...he was getting a lil personal there---go figure a brother was hitting on me--and his implications didn't do any good but add insult to injury--he calls me a rolling stone that gathers no moss...
At first I thought it was a dumb ass question for it was obvious...what it would take...simply a three letter word...for which I answered and then bidded good bye...but in hindsight...it takes more than just having that three letter word...in which...dedication to and preservation thereof plays a greater role...
Now, back in the day we may have hooked up but he was doing his thing and I mine...He's educated, a professional and expert in his field, an entrepreneur, nice but sometimes shady, but overall a good guy...but just not for me...now it was not until recently I found out from his best friend that he always had these "feelings" for me...which is why I couldn't get any play from the best friend...lol...
